Give this a try:
1. Delete the BioLite app from your phone.
2. Make sure your phone's operating system is up to date.
3. Press the raised reset button on the bottom of your BaseLantern.
4. Allow your BaseLantern to charge to full.
5. Redownload the BioLite app to your phone.
6. Connect your phone via Bluetooth to the BaseLantern
