There is no requirement to charge the battery to full, but charging to at least 50% before storage is recommended. This will help ensure your light is ready for action when you're ready to use it and will improve overall product lifetime. If you plan to keep your product in storage for an extended period, we recommend taking it out every 6 months or so and making sure it's still holding a charge.
