The SolarHome 620+ is a crossover product, and it was originally designed for daily use in sub-Saharan Africa. There are certain precautions put into place to protect the battery, one of which is temperature restrictions. The SH620+ cannot be charged if the battery temperature is below 0C or above 45C. It cannot be discharged (no use of lights, radio, or USB charging) if the battery temperature is below -20C or above 60C. We recommend storing the control box indoors where temperatures do not go below freezing.
